I've been in the photography business for many years shooting landscape and nature and when my wife and I decided to get married we searched for the very best and eventually found Jon Allen. From the minute we first met, Jon put us first. He was extremely professional in the way he dealt with every aspect of what my wife and I wanted for our special day. The images just speak for themselves and the amount of work and effort he put in, not only on our wedding day but throughout the whole process including the amazing design and production of our beautiful wedding album just blows us apart really. Would I recommend Jon Allen for your wedding, portrait or even a commercial shoot. Absolutely! Without question. Thanks again Jon. I cannot thank you enough for what you did. Jon was our photographer for our wedding back in December. We are so glad that Jon was able to capture so many wonderful photos so that we can now relive our special day over and over again. We first met Jon about a year before our wedding, he came to our house and gave us a warm welcome and spent an hour or so showing us all of his wonderful work and what to expect on a wedding day, he really did make us feel at ease and confident in that picking Jon was the best choice for us. We chose to have an engagement shoot a few months before the wedding so that me, my partner and little boy could get use to the camera because I myself can be shy and finding posing Awkard but honestly Jon really did put all those worries behind us and my little boy loved having his photo taken as normally he turns or runs the other way. On our wedding day 7/11/22, Jon arrived early and starting to take shots of our beautiful wedding venue and every little detail you wouldn't normally think of, was fantastic, very professional and knew what angles etc to take, felt like a hollywood star :-), when our photos came back to us they took our breathes away, thank you so much Jon, absolutely overjoyed, would highly recommend 🙂

Jon was an absolute pleasure to get to know and made a real effort to get know us as a couple and our venue to ensure the wedding day went flawlessly. He is so enthusiastic about his work and ensuring he gets the best quality photographs. Yet at the same time, he captured lots of innocent natural moments and half the day we didn't even notice he was there - yet when we had some of photos returned to us he had made sure to capture every special moment. We engaged John Allen for an afternoon to take photographs of our golden wedding celebration with 15 of our descendants in a country house in Worcestershire. He was pleasant, friendly with adults and children alike. He was skilled at arranging and controlling photos not only of all of us but of subsidiary family groups. He took excellent groups as well as single portraits. He happily stayed behind his scheduled time and was patient in explaining technical matters about his equipment with one of our number who is a keen amateur photographer. He was good at coaxing adults and children alike. He has proved prompt in dealing with subsequent enquiries concerning his excellent photographs. All told he added to our happy celebration, and I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Wow, wow, wow! We've recently received access to all of our photos and we're absolutely delighted with them. Jon really surpassed our expectations and made light work of the day. Jon made us feel at ease on our day and even leading up to it with a pre wedding consultation. His eye of detail is second to none and has taken photos that we couldn't have foreseen. We're so grateful that our special day has been captured so perfectly and we will be forever grateful that we can look back on through the album with great pride. Jon Allen came recommended to us by Bridal Boutique in Worcester (where we bought our beautiful dress) so gave him a call to arrange a quote. Speaking to Jon was like chatting to an old friend, everything was just easy. He offered to come to us on a Sunday to fit round our working schedule and brought several albums with him for demonstration of his work. Jon is just as friendly in person and made us feel very comfortable and at ease. Within an hour or so of him talking so passionately about his craft, evidencing that with the variety of shots in the albums and answering our many 'what if' questions, we knew we had found the photographer to record our special day. We felt no pressure to hire/ pay and he even offered to do a complimentary pre- wedding shoot at Arley Arboretum to calm my wife's nerves and get her used to being center of attention. We met his lovely wife and chilled afterwards with tea and cake! On our wedding day, Jon arrived early and just got on with his job. He has a great eye for detail and is very conscious of the background not wanting eye-sore objects (like bins/ fire extinguishers) in the picture. He made everyone feel at ease and isn't the sort of person to boss people around or orchestrate posed shots. He excelled at capturing our guests in a natural setting as they enjoyed themselves, recreating the day as it was remembered. Everyone commented on how friendly Jon was, that they didn't even know he was there most of the time and loved his photos at the end of it. It took him around a month to process the photos, setting them up in an online directory for us to download. He invited us over to his house to watch the full 850+ photos of wedding shot by shot, something that we were able to share with our family using the same software. Jon even received some additional photos my brother took on his drone and upscaled them so we can include in the final album. Overall he is a top notch bloke who is an expert in his field. We highly recommend.

Jon has been fantastic from start to finish of our wedding journey. He felt genuinely interested and excited for our big day and helped guide us along the way. On the day itself he put us right at ease (neither of us enjoy photos) and at times, disappeared into the background whilst he captured the day. However when needed, he jumped right out, ordered our guests around and ensured we had the images we didn't even know we would want! Nothing felt too much trouble and as a result of the poor weather on our actual wedding day, we were lucky enough to have a second afternoon with Jon having some photos taken that we had previously missed out on. When it came to our album, we had a few meets with Jon to go through the layout and some tweaks. Jon's editing skills are second to none and he has produced an amazing album for us. Of course we're biased but we think it's award-winning! I honestly cannot see how our photos, experience or album could have been better. Thank you so much Jon and thank you so much Deb for letting Jon do what he does. Absolutely faultless and his work is art.
