Stanbrook Abbey Wedding Photography with Amy & Ashley

Warm Summers day wedding at Stanbrook Abbey.

Weddings in the UK on the whole, enjoy good weather, however, you can photograph a wedding on a Friday and endure stormy weather then the following day wow a hot summers day, 13th July was no exception the glorious sunshine was upon us with just the odd cloud. As a regular wedding photographer at Stanbrook Abbey ( Worcestershire) this stunning and unique Grade II listed Monastery can cater to all kind of weddings from the glamorous to the more intimate.

The Day started with the all the guys all 18 of them… Ashley and his entourage started the day in the groom’s room and progressed outside for various shots of everyone in the group. The Girls… prepared for the day in the Brides Manor which is just perfect for any wedding.

Wedding Ceremony at Stanbrook Abbey

The Callow Hall was filled with family and friends from all over the UK and Australia with over 250 guests enjoyed the ceremony and celebrations. When you walk in the the Callow Hall from the Brides Manor, you can feel all those people looking at you, and I always think to myself I wonder what they are thinking, most likely they start to become excited as the bride will be walking in any time soon. The Bride must feel a sense of nerves an excitement, you can never tell how the bride is going to react until she appears at the alter.  Most couples alway love the idea of natural photographs Heart wedding photography is entirely natural allowing couples to be themselves without any need for posing.  Once the ceremony is over a sigh of relief for the couple and after a confetti spray it was all in the Marquee for the wedding breakfast and speeches, followed by party time.

Thank you to Amy and Ashley who asked me to be their Stanbrook Abbey wedding photographer, wishing you both all the very best and happiness in your lives together.

A special thank you to David Causon Photography, not only for is fearless photography talents but for being a close friend too and of course for all his hard work during the wedding day.

Also a huge thank you to Nick Tucker ( Hairdresser ) for all his hairdressing talents. Many thanks to Ben Kirby Photography lighting assistant.
Here is just a small selection of our favourite wedding moments of the new Mr & Mrs Smith.

Lord Leycester Hospital Wedding Photographer | Sarah & Alistair

It was just so wonderful to be asked by Sarah & Alistair to be their Lord Leycester Hospital wedding Photographer

Timeless Photography at The Lord Leycester Hosptial, Warwick

Everyone asks themselves “a hospital as a wedding venue” fortunately, it is no longer operating as a hospital.

The Lord Leycester Hospital (often known simply as the Lord Leycester) is one of the best-preserved examples of medieval courtyard architecture in England and is a charity supporting ex-servicemen and is located in the heart of Warwick, England, next to the West Gate.

The Lord Leycester is quite a unique wedding venue situated in the high street Warwick. To complement the venue is a splendid private garden at the rear, a typical English Garden.
Our day started with the girls ( Runi, Laura, Rosanna, Halah, & Sam) at Sarah’s home in Stratford upon Avon, before proceeding to the wedding venue, and meeting Alistair and his best man, Ben. Sarah travelled to the Lord Leycester by vintage 1930’s Rolls Royce although we had a little rain it added to the wonderful atmosphere.

We were greeted by Concert Harpist Fran Barsby who was filling the venue with music which had a calming effect on everyone. Once the ceremony was complete, we moved the to the chapel for a blessing. The evening reception was held in the main hall with live music supplied by APOLLO and all superbly organised by Howard Jones our master of ceremonies, thank you, Howard.

I would like to say a huge congratulations to Sarah & Alistair for being such a wonderful couple and moreover allowing me to share their wedding day. I leave you with a selection of images from Sarah & Alistair Wedding Day.

Cripps Barn Wedding with Heather & Sean

To quote the Cripps Barn website, An ancient wedding barn in the romantic Cotswolds countryside. what a truly wonder and atmospheric barn venue right in the heart of the cotswolds. Heather and Sean enjoyed a fresh winter wedding at the Cripps Barn with it’s open log fire and truly rustic experience. The team at Cripps Barn are super experienced in making your Cripps Barn wedding day a once in a lifetime wedding day.

Bridal Preparations at Barnsley House Bilbury

We started our day at Barnsley House capturing the girls, Heather ( Bride) Sian, Rebecca & Harriet who were all getting ready at The Garden Room Barnsley House just a few minutes from Cripps Barn. Barnsley House is one of those places the you feel completely at home when you walk through the door. Designed by Rosemary Verey which is worth a day out in its own right, stunning stately home.

Cripps Barn Wedding Venue

We met Sean and the guys ( Martin, Ben & Luke) at the Barn who appeared to be super relaxed while enjoying some refreshments. Most of the family and friends arrived and enjoyed the cozy and warm atmosphere inside while we left the fresh cold wind outside. For us it was great to see some of our friends from previous weddings that we have photographed they just make us feel so welcome. Thank you every one with special mentions to Paul & Laurie, Julie & Mark not forgetting Christine & Mark Preece for just being you.

Orchardleigh Estate Wedding Katie & James

Orchardleigh Estate Somerset Wedding Ceremony

Quote ” Our enchanting Walled Garden provides a truly magical setting to say ‘I Do; ( Orchardleigh Estate Somerset Weddings) what a truly wonderful setting to marry your best friend. Katie & James could not have a chosen a more fitting venue for their wedding day. The morning started with a little misty rain but once the clouds moved on and cleared the sun shone down on us all for the rest of the day, phew blue sky’s for all. The walled Garden and the Orangery offers a more modern backdrop to the Estate comes complete with an it Italian feel garden which you can see in the picture above.  We met Katie and the girls, Emma, Alice and Jenny, in the Garden house which is a 5 Bedroom family house and perfect for those getting ready and detail shots with plenty of room for all those dresses, shoes and flowers along with Make up artists and Hairdressers. It makes my life as a wedding photographer so much easier to have everyone in the same place to take some lovely shots. James and the boys were all waiting for us in the courtyard so we take some shots of them all individually and as a group. The courtyard enjoys a stunning entrance and Bell Tower with a large carriage archway complete with large doors, this made a perfect set for a grand group shot of all the lads ( James, David, Tim, Pete, and Rich) in their dark blue suits and tan shoes.  Katie & James were married in the Italian Garden which is all outside the and with the weather is was just perfect. After the fun (James) and emotional ceremony, all the guests piles outside to congratulate the happy couple before we moved onto the group shots. I have to say Orchardleigh Estate is truly wonderful venue there are so many stunning shots to be take, I have to say I loved being a wedding photographer at Orchardleigh Estate. Katy & Brett Wedding Pre-Shoot Bewdley

Katy & Brett |Wedding Pre-shoot | Bewdley |Worcestershire

Katy & Brett, what an awesome couple to enjoy a wedding preshoot, so relaxed and a joy to work with.  Bewdley is a small town on the river Severn and boasts some stunning views over the river and is renown for it pubs and shopping. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon. We decided to take a stroll around the streets of Bewdley and along  the river severn, checking out the shops, waterside artists. We must mention and warn you….. as you walk past Bewdley’s Bridge which is right next to Bewdley’s famous fish n chip shop, the aroma is just sooo mouth watering.. OMG maybe later….. Carrying on we enjoyed typical autumn weather with golden leaves which made for a stunning colourful backdrop, just perfect for a wedding pre-shoot. Next summer we will be photographing Kay & Brett’s wedding at one of the most stunning and much sought after venues in Worcestershire, Brockencote Hall, Brockencote is perhaps one of our all time favourite wedding venues. . really looking forward to the wedding.
