Stanbrook Abbey Wedding | Lyndsey & James | Heart Wedding Photography

Stanbrook Abbey Autumn Wedding with Lyndsey & James

Stanbrook Abbey looks fantastic at this time of the year with ripened apples on trees and the start of winter colours are everywhere. Lyndsey and James booked our photography package back in January 2017 for their wedding in late October 2017. Both Lyndsey, James and Sebastian their 2 year son, not forgetting his favourite pal Dog..Dog who was featured in some of Lyndsey’s wedding dress pictures… we could not resist so cute. I must say we had been looking forward to Lynsdeys wedding and what a great wedding too.. I say that all year but it was truly a bloody great day.  If you get married at Stanbrook Abbey here in Worcestershire. getting ready in the Brides Manor is just a must have.. with lots of rooms to relax and get ready for the start of your wedding day. The girls, Michelle, Alison and Sydney (Love that name) were all busy looking after Lyndsey and young Sebastion (Page boy) while we were looking after the Groom and the Boyz, James, Steve Marcus and Krish before the main ceremony. If you looking for a wedding photographer who knows this stunning venue very well why not give us a call, I would be delighted to chat with you.

A little chat with the Bride.

HOW DID YOU MEET? James was a member of a local gym  in which I was a personal trainer and gym instructor, although he was not my client. WHAT WAS THE PROPOSAL LIKE? In New York two days before my 30th Birthday. We were in a helicopter enjoying a tour round the statue of Liberty, we both had headphones on listening to the pilot talking about the sights when James mouthed ” Will You Marry Me” I responded ” WHAT!” Then he repeated the question, pointing to his ring finger.. I said “YES”… HOW DID YOU FIND WEDDING PLANNING? Expensive! There are so many fantastic things out there, but try to do as much as you can yourself.  WHY DID YOU CHOOSE STANBROOK ABBEY? I have worked so many weddings at normal conference centers, I just wanted something with a bit more character. WHAT IS GOING TO BE YOUR FAVOURITE TIME OF THE DAY? ( James)  Everyone hitting the dance floor to the band.  (Lyndsey) The moment James sees me at the bottom of the aisle.

Please take your time and enjoy this small selection of images taken from the main gallery.

Mill Barns winter wedding Susie & Neal

Mill Barns Winter Wedding with Susie & Neal

The Mill Barns Winter Wedding. Its was great to back at The Mill Barns for the wedding of Susie and Neal and there is nothing like a cold crisp and frosty wedding day morning especially in Shropshire. Frost was quite heavy in places on the morning of Susie’s big day, with stunning clear blue sky’s. I guess you can picture the winter scene. Phew walking back into the Mill Barns for a welcome warm was a real cosy feeling. The atmosphere was very busy inside the barn with lots of people making sure everything was just perfect for when the Bride arrives.

Starting in the main bridal prep room at the Mill Barns which is quite a dark experience. Susie was busy opening pressies and the girls who were all getting excited… made for some great shots before we moved on to some of the details, shoes which happen to be my favs.  The guys, James, Philip and Joe. (Love the suite Joe) Neal and the gang had stayed over in a local hotel in Bridgnorth so were all bright and ready to go. Susie and Neal who both live in London booked our  Heart wedding photography services in January 2017 and made several visits to the Mill Barns to see the venue taking shape and of course to meet us for the 1st time. Seeing the Mill Barns talking shape is not something that you would not normally see, the structure is was quite breath taking and then much later in the year to experience the venue in its full glory was quite an amazing, cannot imagine how excited a bride would feel.

So here is a glimpse from a wonderful day with Susie and Neal not forgetting all the family and friends. Special thanks to the parents  Trudie, John, Gill and Andy not forgetting Emily and Kate bridesmaids. A huge thank you to everyone, there are so many faces… you know who you are.  Jon & Max xxx

Special thank you to Mr & Mrs Kerry, what a wonderful day we all had.  Wishing you both all the happiness that your lives together will bring.

Cripps Barn Wedding – Heather & Sean

Cripps Barn Wedding with Heather & Sean

To quote the Cripps Barn website, An ancient wedding barn in the romantic Cotswolds countryside. what a truly wonder and atmospheric barn venue right in the heart of the cotswolds. Heather and Sean enjoyed a fresh winter wedding at the Cripps Barn with it’s open log fire and truly rustic experience. The team at Cripps Barn are super experienced in making your Cripps Barn wedding day a once in a lifetime wedding day.

Bridal Preparations at Barnsley House Bilbury

We started our day at Barnsley House capturing the girls, Heather ( Bride) Sian, Rebecca & Harriet who were all getting ready at The Garden Room Barnsley House just a few minutes from Cripps Barn. Barnsley House is one of those places the you feel completely at home when you walk through the door. Designed by Rosemary Verey which is worth a day out in its own right, stunning stately home.

Cripps Barn Wedding Venue

We met Sean and the guys ( Martin, Ben & Luke) at the Barn who appeared to be super relaxed while enjoying some refreshments. Most of the family and friends arrived and enjoyed the cozy and warm atmosphere inside while we left the fresh cold wind outside. For us it was great to see some of our friends from previous weddings that we have photographed they just make us feel so welcome. Thank you every one with special mentions to Paul & Laurie, Julie & Mark not forgetting Christine & Mark Preece for just being you.

Orchardleigh Estate Wedding Katie & James

The Orangery at Orchardleigh Estate in Somerset

Orchardleigh Estate Somerset Wedding Ceremony

Quote ” Our enchanting Walled Garden provides a truly magical setting to say ‘I Do; ( Orchardleigh Estate Somerset Weddings) what a truly wonderful setting to marry your best friend. Katie & James could not have a chosen a more fitting venue for their wedding day. The morning started with a little misty rain but once the clouds moved on and cleared the sun shone down on us all for the rest of the day, phew blue sky’s for all. The walled Garden and the Orangery offers a more modern backdrop to the Estate comes complete with an it Italian feel garden which you can see in the picture above.  We met Katie and the girls, Emma, Alice and Jenny, in the Garden house which is a 5 Bedroom family house and perfect for those getting ready and detail shots with plenty of room for all those dresses, shoes and flowers along with Make up artists and Hairdressers. It makes my life as a wedding photographer so much easier to have everyone in the same place to take some lovely shots. James and the boys were all waiting for us in the courtyard so we take some shots of them all individually and as a group. The courtyard enjoys a stunning entrance and Bell Tower with a large carriage archway complete with large doors, this made a perfect set for a grand group shot of all the lads ( James, David, Tim, Pete, and Rich) in their dark blue suits and tan shoes.  Katie & James were married in the Italian Garden which is all outside the and with the weather is was just perfect. After the fun (James) and emotional ceremony, all the guests piles outside to congratulate the happy couple before we moved onto the group shots. I have to say Orchardleigh Estate is truly wonderful venue there are so many stunning shots to be take, I have to say I loved being a wedding photographer at Orchardleigh Estate. I must also say thank you to all of Katie and James family and friends who made us feel so welcome, it makes all the difference. Thank you all. The Mill Barns Wedding Photography Aimee & Stuart

Bride and Groom outside the Mill Barns

Wedding Photography at Mill Barns in Alveley and Aimee & Stuarts wedding was only the fourth wedding to be held at this new prestigious wedding venue.

A wonderful traditional wedding.

Those of you who are not so familiar with the Mill Barns location, Alveley is a small village in the Severn Valley, Shropshire about 11 miles south-southeast of Bridgnorth. It is in the civil parish of Alveley and Romsley. The church in Alveley “St Mary’s is just a 5 minute drive away for those who prefer a more traditional start to a wedding day. In the past we have photographed many weddings at the former Mill Hotel which was very popular until it was sadly destroyed by fire some years ago. The Mill Barns exclusive use waterfront barn wedding venue is just so unique it is attracting couples from all over the country. No brida or groom preperations where required so our day started with a visit to St Mary’s Church in Alveley to take shots of  details and of course the church. Jayne & Richard Yarrington are very much involved with the local church and was keen for me to visit, Jayne kept me in order for most of the day ( Jayne love you to bits)  Aimee decided to walk the 10 min journey to the church from her parents home, we enjoyed some amazing reactions from locals as it is not often you see a Bride with her bridesmaids, ( Elinah, Sian,& Amy) Sian is the photo bomber!! and parents walking through a village to the church, and of course me trying to keep one step ahead. Rev Neil Dunlop was waiting patiently at the church door waiting for Aimee and her entourage  to arrive. After the ceremony it was off to the Mill Barns to celebrate and party. “Donna” wedding manager welcomed us all in the the barn with loads of champagne to refresh the couple. A huge thank must go to Aimee & Stuart  and everyone who made the day so special. A really special thank you to Rev : Neil Dunlop for being so welcoming and great to work with. Here is a selection of photographs from Aimee & Stuarts wedding day. Congratulations guys wishing you a fabulous life together. Jon & Max xx

Stanbrook Abbey Wedding with Matt & Chris

Worcester Wedding Photographer

Stanbrook Abbey wedding with Matt & Chris. We enjoy so much working at Stanbrook Abbey, feels like a second home for us Worcester wedding photographers. The Great Hall is quite something to behold and when you walk into the vast hall you can feel the atmosphere therein, I guess to celebrate your wedding day in the Great Hall must be quite overwhelming. Stanbrook Abbey was originally built as a contemplative house for Benedictine nuns and since 2010 it has been extended  and converted into a hotel and events venue. Matt & Chris both work in London but lived locally in Bromsgrove & Redditch and met in a local town. We have worked in the Callow hall many times however this was the first time we have enjoyed tree’s decorating the hall, truly stunning to see the bright green leaves against the warm yellow of Stanbrook’s carved wood interior. The day started with bright sunshine which stayed with us most of the day and was so welcome. We would like to thank everyone who attaended Matt & Chris wedding day for making us feel so welcome. Here is a small selection from Matt & Chris epic day. Congratulations guys and thank you for allowing us to share your wedding day. Jon & Max xx  To see more images from the day please ask Matt & Chris for  further details. Prints and files can be purchased directly from the online gallery.

Granary Hotel Wedding with Katie & Simon

Granary Hotel wedding in Shenstone was Katie & Simons venue of choice for their glorious summer wedding day. Sunny skies a fluffy clouds stayed with us which made for a wonderful backdrop for such a lovely day just perfect in everyway. Katie & Simon booked our wedding photography back in 2016 and it so lovely to return to the Granary Hotel. Our day started with the girls and some familiar faces from Nikki’s Hair salon in Kidderminster. Katie was getting ready in the hotel next door to the Granary and yes the bubbly was flowing well. I had a little sip… Simon was all ready and waiting for us to take some pre-ceremony shots with Chris Beech Simon’s bestman in the gardens of the Granary. Katie has decided on a bright summer yellow and grey theme for the wedding breakfast room with a matching cake. after the ceremony we had lots of families to take photographs of including Simon’s Grandmother who is in her 90’s she is truly amazing. Fairlawns Hotel Wedding with Becky & Lewis

Fairlawns hotel Our first visit to the Fairlawns Hotel in little Aston, Aldridge for the marriage of Becky & Lewis. The day started at Becky’s mums home in Minworth which was buzzing with activity on our arrival. Becky and girls were all excited about getting ready for the big event. Becky as normal, brimming with happiness as she was about to marry her best friend Lewis Edmonds. Here are a few words from the bride…

The surprises did not stop coming Lewis had also booked tickets to go to the top of the Paris hotel overlooking Vagas. HOW DID YOU FIND WEDDING PLANNING? Make sure you give yourself lots of time, be organised and try it do as much as you can, as quickly as you can. “Get Pinterest” Chat to others.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR WEDDING VENUE? I have always loved the Fairlawns, my father “Paul Cutler” was the Rugby coach and one of his players Father owned the Fairlawns and we regularly used to hold events there too. It is smaller and that gives more of a personnel touch. The location is fabulous for us, very impressed with the staff, food and the venue. WHAT IS GOING TO BE YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE DAY? The speeches and the night time, Casino and dance floor. We would like to thank everyone for making us feel so welcome.
